The very well padded shoulder and waist straps are comfortable and made it easy to hike for hours even with a fully loaded backpack. For reference, we carried in it a Nikon D500 with attached Nikon 18-300 mm lens, a Sigma Contemporary 150-600 mm lens, a Canon T3i with attached Canon 18-55 mm lens, a Canon 75-300 mm lens, and a variety of accessories such as a camera clip system, rain fly (comes with the backpack), camera rain covers, cleaning supplies, manuals, extra lens caps and filters, laptop, snacks... the thing ended up being pretty heavy when fully loaded with our gear but it worked flawlessly.
The camera compartment that opens in the back is genius, as is the ability to swivel the pack around and open it up to access the gear without setting it down - that worked great for us. The two generously sized water bottle pockets were great for carrying plenty of water on our hikes, and the multiple loops on the front were handy for clipping on things like headphone cases and the like during airport transfers.
This was the perfect size for our needs as enthusiastic amateur photographers, especially since it's a good size for carrying on a plane. Even though it's pricey, it's very well built and has a lot of nice features that make it more than worth the price.

After two years of hard use, the pack still looks great. To my surprise, it became my go-to pack.
When I started filming videos of old lava tube hikes I've done this pack proved to be perfect for crawling through tight spaces etc... I thought for sure the sharp lava would tear it up but it came through just fine. My gear has expanded to the Panasonic G9 so now it carries the G9, GH5 with the 100-400 attached along with the 8-18 on the G9 and the 12-35 and the 35-100. External mic and a host of other extras. Search my YouTube channel to see what I've put it through and what I packed in it.
What I like most is it's a simple pack that does what it's supposed to and it's durable.
I used one other pack I like on one tube hike but it was too large and made the entire outing even worse than it already is.
